Richard Graduated with an Honours Degree in Chemistry in 2000 and completed his PGCE in Science with a specialism in Chemistry in 2002.

A highly experienced Chemistry teacher, Richard has held the position of; whole school E learning coordinator, Key Stage 3 Science Coordinator, Key Stage 4 Science Coordinator, Head of Science and is currently a House Director.

His experience has allowed him to mentor PGCE, GTTP and Teach First students.  He was involved in the Physical Science enhancement programme (Physep) and has been a guest speaker for the PGCE programme at the University of Birmingham - talking about the use of electronic media in the teaching of secondary Science.

All of this experience means that Richard has developed a sound pedagogical understanding of teaching Science - in particular, Chemistry.

Richard’s philosophy to teaching Chemistry is ‘rigour, but with fun’.
