Leigh is educated to master’s degree level, and has been teaching in secondary schools for over 10 years. As well as a strong passion for teaching, she has an enthusiasm for her subjects. Over the course of her teaching career, she has mentored trainee teachers and ECT’s, and as an EFA lead in her current workplace, she has delivered whole school CPD to colleagues on formative assessment to help teachers to develop techniques to monitor and assess the progress of students. Leigh has also had the responsibility of being standards and assessment lead for sixth form at her current school. In addition to her teaching experience, Leigh has been an examiner for AQA since 2018 and has undertaken extensive training for this role.

Alongside the importance of knowledge and understanding, Leigh emphasises the importance of teaching exam technique and the necessary skills required to tackle Psychology and Sociology at A-Level.

Leigh prides herself on her ability to connect and form positive relationships with her students, hence fostering a positive and productive learning experience where students feel comfortable and confident to thrive. Leigh instils a sense of curiosity in her students where students develop a hunger to gain more psychological and sociological knowledge.
